LISMA
Continuing Education Workshops For 2008/2009
The
21st Century School Library Media Specialist
Realizing that it is often difficult
for individual school districts to provide appropriate and
meaningful courses for their Library Media Specialists, LISMA
has developed a series of workshops to meet these needs. The
workshops are of topical interest. When approved by the school
district, each 3 hour workshop may be taken for professional
development hours or in-service credit.
AASL
"Standards for the 21st-Century
Learner" are available for download at the
AASL
Web site
Standards for the 21st-Century Learner" offer vision
for teaching and learning to both guide and beckon our
profession as education leaders. They will both shape
the library program and serve as a tool for library
media specialists to use to shape the learning of students
in the school. |
